Not really Nancy...I know of a girl that got 3 brothers who did that to her. Now she don't want to get married. She's scared. Oh and her brothers r educated.

in da bible do it say to have sex with family members? No! it's sumtin dat ppl choose they make they own rules just like gay ppl i am no one to judge ppl but its just wrong

Apart from being disgusting the idea of incest brings about health problems and psychological effects. People engaged in those acts clearly have some mental problem where they feel they have to act out their desires no matter who is affected. The persons on whom the acts are done will eventually have negative views of the opposite sex and will view relationships and sex in general as something to stay far from.

On the health side, kids conceived during such acts have greater tendencies to have defects. Some tests done show that there are a lot of kids who are normal and have no defects but the idea of a father or brother fathering a child is just plan sick for me. It goes against the laws of society and maybe what the holy books say but we can’t argue that much because the world was created from one man and one woman so logically there would have been incest for the world to grow.

You see, incest could only be perceived as bad / good upon how you look at it. If i stand correctly, if u used the biblical term, you may be left stunted if you look at it from the angle that. The first child made from adam n eve came after they ate from the tree, thus we where borned in sin, then in the bible also states we are brother and sister, so now if where brothers and sister who will be able to " be frutiful and multiply with?"

So until there is a proven scripture that says you can't have sex with your family member someone kindly show it.

N.B : im not saying there is / is not cause i haven't read out the whole bible.

We do know it is wrong to be gay since the bible stated that.

Now I won't have sex with my cousin or any other family member, thats just me i rather someone out of my family.

So thats my response, you should say no to incest.

Of course we wouldn't know of incest had it not been for the thoughts of our ancestors shared over the centuries up to this day but as a person you would have different feelings towards your close family members.
For example you would feel safe around your parents and have a different affection for them compared to your brother who you will love as a friend and a person you can look up to or share good moments with. Without knowing what the word incest is you can have simple relationships with your family and not have any thoughts of sexual relations with them.
I think people who engage in such acts have some imbalance mentally and should seek help.

Whether or not incest is a bad thing really depends on how the society you live in defines it. Many european royalty married within their family to keep their bloodlines pure. In western society incest is considered to be taboo. I think the controversy of inter-kin relationships have arisen because of the genetic defect risks that come along with those types of relationships. Its not always a good thing to keep your bloodlines "pure" as was once thought by some cultures, the lack of genetic diversity is dangerous, especially in the case of recessive hereditary diseases that run in families. I have been conditioned by the society I live in to believe incestous relationships are disgusting. I have grown up to think that way and I would never in any way find any of my blood relatives attractive. I have a friend who is attracted to her half-brother(eek), and I know of a cousin couple who are married (yuck)... anyway thats my opinion
