| What are your thoughts on euthanasia/assisted suicide? Are you for or against it and why?
I'm for it by the way, but I wanna hear everyone else's opinions first.

| I haven't given too much thought to it so I'm not sure if I'm for or against it.
I guess if someone is in so much physical pain that they can't bare it and they're only suffering then it would be a solution for them... a way to escape their pain but... I dunno I'm not sure. I'll post back here after I think about it a little more.

| Well we all know how controversial it is... I am on the "for" side, if someone is in so much unbearable physical pain I think they should not have to suffer a slow painful death... bring on the morphine. Of course religious groups could argue against it.. I'd like to see someone build an arguement against it | |

| I'm 100% against it. And yes, of course it is against my religion. It is said when you kill yourself you'll be sinned.
Even if someone is in a unbearable physical pain, why not get help than go to an extreme to commit suicide?
They're many people who will help certain people like this.
I must say, yes, people might just search for the easiest way out and that's suicidal.
I have thought about suicidal, however something always knock some sense into me. I guess that's the way God works.
Why do you think that suicidal is the best solution?

| Beverly having occasional suicidal thoughts is completely different from someone who is in immense physical pain and about to die anyway. I say if the person is terminally ill and they are going to die anyway, why not ease their pain and put them out of their misery? | |

| Well, I must agree there. Because I have known a family. The lady was living on life machine and she told her children to take it off and let her die and they didn't. She suffered, really did. And died.
I have changed my answer I'm 50 - 50. Because what I have witnessed tonight was terrible and I nearly killed myself. If my father wasn't around I should have been dead by now.

| If someone is going through all of this pain and they feel it is worth killing themselve, well is best they do it on there own, im not going to be an accomplice in taken away a life, alot of things are acceptable due to the fact that we bend and flex too much, but as for the topic, if you feel your life isn't work living due to the fact of all the pain and suffering is best you kill yourself than drag someone into feeling sorry for you and assisting you in killing yourself. | |

| Bev.. hope you are alright.
Well you should feel sorry for someone who is suffering from a terminal illness such as cancer and are in a lot of pain and anguish don't you think? Its a matter of putting them out of their misery, and I don't see it as a sin if you are easing their physical pains.

| That's true.. the general public does not usually realize this... but its a common practice in hospitals to up the morphine levels of terminally ill patients so they die a quicker and less painful death. | |
