People automatically think that the government has assumed the responsibility of helping the poor. Of course the policies of the country must be designed in such a way as to ensure poverty reduction (explained by the Admin). At a lower level it would appear as if nothing much is being done but I can assure you that plans are in place and actions are being taken in ensuring this country moves forward. The pace at which things are changing might not be to people's liking but the fact is we are better off than some decades ago.

For those who compared Guyana today to the days of Burnham ruling, please don't look to the past and make a comparison because there is no aspect worth assessing. The circumstances are different in the two eras.
