| Yes indeed. Television destroys one's life esp the kids. They have no time for education just for some stupid idiotic movies etc. And the funniest part, those actors and actress already succeeding while the kids who r watching r failing. | |

| I agree with u both. But isn't it a fact that children these days watch too much television and the parents cannot control them? Children in the modern society r harsh toward parents. So what's ur view towards that? | |

| Yeh kids now retaliate so much coz parents aren't so strick .I agree that u must cut them some slack but at the same time they must be monitored so they won't take a yard when u give dem an inch. | |

I agree but television isn't completely evil lol... I think parents should give their children a time limit and monitor the shows they watch, because there are actually some shows that kids can watch and learn from. It's all a matter of what they're watching. But yea, a time limit should be put in place so they have time for schoolwork and other things.

I don't watch television that much. I do all my chores and my brothers just sit infront the television. That thing annoys me. I have to do all the chores while my brothers entertaining themselves.

| With the state of society, do you guys actually think allowing them to watch less shows on tv will work? I don’t think so, cause almost 90% or more of the kids know about sex and talk about it, plus even daily they might pass across couples making out etc, so what are you going to do next, hide them from society? The best thing to do is impart good moral values in there lives from young so that when they grow it won’t depart from them. Let them know right from wrong and so forth, plus some limiting of what they watch and so forth. So yes it would be beneficial to limit what they watch and at the same time let them know and see what is going on in the world they live in and talk with them about certain things so they don’t go down certain roads | |

(I think parents need to pay a lot more attention to what their children are doing on the internet because they have no clue what's really going on). I also agree about teaching them good moral values. Parents need to talk to their children more about things instead of trying to avoid it and shelter them from things because that will only make them more curious. Parent's need to teach their children right from wrong and tell them about the risks and consequences of their actions.

| Nowadays you turn on the tele and all you see is something relating to losing weight or telling you how to dress and look so the world will appreciate you more. Music videos are loaded with sex and material desires, the news is saturated with violence, makes me sometimes wonder where we are really heading? The television can be both educating and damaging, it is even referred to as the “one eye demon” by some, but with technology the way it is parents can monitor and control what their children/child is viewing on the television. I’ll say it’s better to limit children to television and spend more time outdoors socializing or involved in some healthy sports. | |

There are many kids these days even i they're like 10 years old you're catching them on the net watching at porn. These parents need to monitor these things and in this society its going quite far and uncontrollable to parents who think they can't do anything about it. Aftermath is correct about the part about couples making out on road. That set no example for kids.

I like the way you typed that. "I’ll say it’s better to limit children to television and spend more time outdoors socializing or involved in some healthy sports". That is true. Parents should do that exactly. For me, I gain nothing out of looking at television. I spend of my my leisure time climbing trees and playing cricket.
